Dolly Parton will launch Scent from Above, a new fragrance for women, in July. Scent from Above was made under licensing arrangements with Edge Beauty, who also did Cher’s Eau de Couture.
“People have always followed me around, telling me how good I smell,” Parton told CNN. “I’ve always done just a combination of things, like some bath oils I use and a couple of perfumes I mix. So, I’ve come up with my own little smell that people just love.” Her signature scent, she said, is something “very soft and kind of has a little bit of musk, a very angelic smell.”
I will update with more information when I can. Meanwhile, samples of the new fragrance will be available for $10 at Dolly Fragrance after Parton’s advertisement for Squarespace airs during the second half of the Superbowl game on 7 February. The $10 can be credited towards a full bottle purchase.
